What we’re looking for:
The Project Manager role within MullenLowe Profero works on projects leading multi-disciplinary, sometimes geographically dispersed teams, to deliver small to medium digital web projects.
You will successfully scope, and manage web projects working with UX, Design and Development to deliver projects on time and to budget. You will be able to work as part of a team but also independently to deliver a project up to £150k.
Working collaboratively, you are able to lead internal meetings to share work and feedback in order to create the best product possible, whilst also supporting the account team with client management.
The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in waterfall, agile and hybrid management methodologies, have an attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
Project Initiation and Planning
Work with department leads to accurately scope small to mid-sized digital projects (up to £150k) including maintenance tasks, UX and design tasks, development projects
Work with team leads to agree project resource including offshore team members
Create Project documentation including Sow’s, timing plans, budgets, risk and issue logs, Change Requests, JIRA boards, etc.
Project Execution and Control
Manage and control the resource (both on and offshore resources) and project activities on a daily basis to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
Run daily scrum meetings, project reviews and sign-off meetings, ensuring work is ready for client reviews
Support Account Management in client meetings
Manage and control project costs ensuring financial reconciliations are completed fortnightly and reported to the Project Director and Account Management team
Plan and schedule resources with internal Resource Management and Heads of Department for the project lifecycle
Maintain project documentation throughout the project including highlight reports, status, risk and issues logs, internal status sheets
Work with the Account Team to ensure client feedback is communicated to project teams
Identify, communicate and mitigate risk on all projects
Stakeholder and Communication Management
Effective communicator to ensure teams are always clear on deliverables
Ensure status reports are completed on time and risk is communicated to the relevant internal stakeholders
Work with the account team to ensure acceptance of all deliverables, closure of JIRA bugs and full financial reconciliation is carried out
Work with the Project Director to ensure project retrospective sessions happen with internal teams to review success of project and opportunities to improve ways of working
To be responsible for the day to day running of projects, being the point person on your projects for the internal and account team
Manage both short and longer term projects including ongoing maintenance, UX and Design projects, technical updates to sites, website builds with a CMS, apps etc
Ensure that all projects are being delivered on time and to budget
Ensure that work being delivered is best in class
Manage offshore development teams where necessary
EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL COMPETENCES
Solid experience of working in a digital agency
Previous experience in a similar digital / technical role
Can demonstrate having run successful small technical projects
Experience of working with offshore development teams
Experience using both agile and waterfall approaches to run projects
Experience with Microsoft Project and a knowledge of JIRA / Confluence
Experience of developing projects with a CMS
Strong organisation skills to effectively manage and co-ordinate the project and client team resources against planned activities
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure juggling multiple projects and deadlines
Experience of running a range of digital projects
Prior knowledge of Prince 2 and Agile (Scrum)
An interest in emerging technologies
Excellent written, communication and organisation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
